I suggest a new entry on the keyframe: "reset object position"

when it is activated: when the keyframe is deactivated, the position of the object that the keyframe stored is reset to the starting position of the selected object

when it is deactivated: when the keyframe is deactivated, the position of the object that the gadget stored is given to the object, ensuring that the object does not return to its starting position on deactivation

    I understand what yo uare saying, So that would be nice to be able to keep the position recorded in a keyframe even if it is not activated. Things is that you already have that. Select the keyframe it shows the keyframed stored animation on the object. Deselect it and it goes back to starting pose. That would be redundant Imo.
