Colour text gadgets or text visible on a timeline

Trying to work out which text gadget is which is a lot harder when you have multiples, especially in a timeline, as they all look the same. Ideally the text (or beginning of text) should be visible within the gadget without opening up, but another option I would like to see is the ability to colour the gadget. This would be very helpful for identifying types of text gadget - text, text boxes only, control info etc. You would chose the colour scheme to help you easy identify things.

  If you turn on "large gadget," the gadget will be larger in chips etc. and you can see the text on the gadget. Doesn't do anything in timelines though. It would be cool if it just showed the text by default when on a timeline and there's room to do so.
