You could use the shape that's at the end of the menu, ot looks like a tail. Modify it (L1+Square) and make it large, then tweak it to have the curves and width you wish.

For some reason you reduced the puppet's size? Because the same happened to me when I reduced its size

Add the tag to the hand and then add the teleporter to the weapon

What I do is use a teleporter and a tag. It's kind of difficult to tweak the teleporter to make your weapon face the perfect direction, but it's doable!

This the solution. Scope to the puppet's head while dragging your big head. Once you place your new head just go to sculpt settings and tweak collisions off and the follow friends tag off as well. ...
