You could force the imp to posses something that has no controls. Than your imp won't be visible. But you need to disable the auto camera that is on the controlled object somehow and I haven't test...

Yes making it permanent worked. And I didn't even needed 2 key frames. I did however, because I needed them to not be movable when they key frame was holding it up.But thanks.
