Try scoping into it with L1 + X. Then attach your wire to the emitters power. This should work I think

Changing the size of the puppet seemed to fix it. Kind of strange though

I dont think so. Ot seems to be something to do with that blue circle that appears below the default puppet when you scope into it. It seems like this circle represents where it stands on the groun...

Sounds complicated bit I think I understand. Only thing though, is there a default camera for puppets? I can't seem to find it if there is.

What is the hair made of? Like is it a sculpt or was it painted?

Try scoping into the puppet and only editing the hair, then turn collisions on for the hair, that might work
