Emit a tag

I'm clicking the "object to emit" button in the emitter and hovering over a tag a pressing X. Nothing happens. I have never used an emitter before now but I have just tried the same process on some other items in my scene and they disappear as I believe is intended. There must be a very simple thing I'm not realizing right? Please halp :'(

  Not too sure you can just emit a tag. Can you attach it to a blank invisible square with the tag and just emit that?

  I will try that but if it doesn't work I'll probably just remix kemengjie33's logic for saving player position between scenes. Not a lot of time to waste now that the beta is almost over! Thanks for the reply! :)
