How Do I Edit Stamp Properties?

You can move a stamp easy enough but what if I want to change that stamps color after stamping the shape down? So I sculpted my model and I decided I just want a negative stamp used in sculpting to have a particular color. Rather than trying to mimic that surface with a whole new stamp. I can't see a way to do this but it seems like something we should be able to do.

  You can’t change the properties of a stamp that has already been stamped down but you can paint sculpts using the spray paint tool. This may be all you need to edit the colour of your sculpt.

  Yeah that wouldn't work when I just want that surface to have a different color than when I stamped it down. So in those cases I would have to try and mimic that surface with another color stamp.
