Blocking signals in a custom selector

I have slightly modified the behavior of the selector by putting one on a microchip and connecting ports A-J to counters. This was to allow the signals to persist as the selector loops through A-J. My microchip has equivalent A-J input nodes and an equivalent input active port node. The latter connects to the same on the selector. The former go to A-J output nodes depending on the corresponding counters. The microchip functions like a pass through selector but where the signals persist. Now here is my issue. Once a signal is started by way of the counter I not only want it to persist but also prevent the original data on the signal from being changed once the next signal begins. And so forth. Please help because I can’t seem to find a way to do this.
