Anyone found a good way to create realistic looking rope? Came across one suggestion by an Mm employee but unfortunately i've found the result underwhelming (as the rope behaves like a bell-curve).

I'm looking for a way to create clothes line...

    I would like to know how to do this as well. I need some rope for my Arctic base which would serve as a guide line when travelling to the outbuildings.

    I have a suspicion that unless it's one off, you're going to want to do something with the paint tool, making it 'Physical' and 'Attached at Both Ends' in the tweak menu.

    Really it'll come down to how painstakingly you want to do the painting itself and which brushstroke you use. There's a circular one that could work well but the randomness inherent in the Paint tool could make this a long process.

    The other option is to make it out of tons of tiny cylinders all joined with rope connectors but I doubt this is thermometer friendly.

    What are the requirements?

    Does it need to behave perfectly physically? Sculpts with connectors.
    Just look right? Paint.
    Look right but sway in the breeze? Paint with physical animation.

    Hey, thanks for the response guys. I should've been more clearer in describing what i'm looking for.

    I want to create a clothesline but if i use the method of painting with physical animation i end up with a bell curve. Maybe i'm just to critical lol...

    I'll have another go (maybe i use the bellcurve and scale it up so the curve looks nice and then erase the outer ends...)
