How do I connect the buttons of the controller to things?

Especially animation. If I animate something with keyframes and/or timelines, how do I make it so that pressing the trigger or any other button will trigger the animation?

    Hi,

    Use the control sensor gadget, it has all the outputs when you open it's tweak menu

    You may also want to set it to remote control, so it works all the time.

    Thanks! Okay, so I've got R2 wired into a keyframe, but when I move the R2 slider to the right, it just goes back to 0%, I can't change the R2 percentage - is that a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

    L2 and R2 are the only controller buttons that output a range from 0-1. All other buttons are boolean 1 or 0. Try wiring to a different button or wire R2 to a calculator that checks if the value is greater than 0, before the signal goes to your animation.

    '@Supposer: When I'm in the Controller Sensor tweak menu, at the top of the first page are L2 and R2 sliders that default to 0%. I can slide them to the right up to 100%, but when I let go they just go back to 0%.
