Splitting left stick pulses

I have used a splitter on the pulse from the controller sensor left stick and it divides into up/down and left /right. I then sent the up/down pulse to another splitter and I get + and -. I then used these in the next output and previous output sockets of the selector.
I thought this would mean I could have the player only get a result if they push up or down, but it still records the left and right pushes - how do I separate them so I only get up and down working?

  Up and down are a spectrum of numbers from -1 to 1. You could use an AND gate and a calculator to only send the signal when it's a positive number (assuming positive is up).

  Hey . I may be wrong but it sounds like the problem I had for awhile , there is 2 sets of left and right stick , one is camera depedand (the one on the 1st page ) and the other is local stick dependent ( on the 3rd page ) I had outputs without any inputs like yourself until I used the 3rd pages left stick in the controler tweak menu. , Hope that helps :)
