Timeline is blending the last keyframe back to the first one.

I made a timeline with keyframes showing an event happen. Problem is when it gets to the last keyframe it plays it and then i can physically see the object ,very quickly albeit, move back to the starting location of the timeline. I want the animation to stop and start again. I dont want to see it move back to the start. It happens in a flash. i have a rock falling to the ground and at the end of it you see the rock shoot back up to the starting position. Very jarring. Any help please and thank you!

  To add on this, I have the timeline all the way pushed up to the keyframes at the start and end but have tried extending it out which creates a pause which is fine but i still see it resetting while in play.
