A path for a follower to follow ?
I want to remake an on rails ghost train shooter of mine I make in Lbpk but can't get it going.
So I want a train cart to follow a chain of tags that lay out the path, needs to move in all axis and adjust angle as it goes up and down stairs ect.
I tried attaching a zone to the front of cart which would trigger the zone detected output on the first tag, turn itself off ( via a switch? between tag detected output and power ) and turn on the next tag (all with the same name), daisy chained to the next tag and repeated up the path so the cart follows but it's not happening or working like that at all.
I guess the other way would be to action record the cart and drive it along the track(?), but I wanted to go the follow tag route so I could make small adjustments to the paths shape without recording a whole new cart run each time.
Why can't we just draw out an editable path that can be open or looped for a follower to attach to or am I missing something ?
Any ideas from you logic geniuses out there gratefully received thanks.

Hi,
Use keyframes and a timeline and you get the editable that you require :)

Thanks, I'll have a play around with that. I'm assuming for a 2 minute + convoluted track it's 100s of key frames possibly..

Hi,
You'll need as many keyframes as there are corners, the blend with scurvy spline though so not as many as you think.
No more than the tag method you were attempting :)

That's giong to work a trick and now I'm understanding how to chain them together they're a revelation thanks. ?

Sorry for dusting off that old post, but thats a really good idead, i was wondering how to outline a path and make the puppets follow it, but just wanted to say that this seems to be a good solution, so cheers!
