How do i toggle all sculpt subtract shapes visible?
Is there a way to make all the subtract shapes inside the sculpt scope visible while editing (instead of trying to find them by hovering with the imp)?

This isn’t an option, sorry. I think because it could make it impossible to see and select the additive edits. We have never found it restricting though. Is there a specific thing you are trying to achieve?

Well it’s hard to remember where the shapes are when it’s a really complicated sculpt, and maybe some are too big so you wanna resize them at the end just for optimization.
I also noticed that while using the spraypaint tool if you use a really large brush to make it easier to paint, the empty space around still impacts resources.
I honestly think there should be an option to just cut and spraypaint stuff in a destructive way, without having the empty shapes left behind. -
I'm having a related problem with this. In particular, once you stamp a subtract sculpt, you can no longer grab/stretch some of the parts of the shape. For instance, if you're stamping a subtract cylinder into another cylinder to make a cup, you can no longer grab the faces of the cylinder with the Stretch tool (on either side) and make the cup deeper. It would be handy to maybe be able to temporarily toggle the subtracts, or at least be able to convert an additive primitive to a subtract primitive on the fly so these adjustments can be made? (Maybe you can and I just don't know how?)

I think you might be missing the point Peter. Here is an example. I stamp a cylinder down, and stretch it so it looks more like an ellipse. Now I subtract another cylinder within it that makes a hole in the center, and I want to stretch the subtractive cylinder the same way, but one unit less so I have a hole that matches the aspect of the positive cylinder. In other words stretch the positive to 4 by 3, and stretch the hole to 3 by 2. It's incredibly difficult to stretch the subtractive cylinder. Unless you have the imp on top of the positive wireframe, you can't even get to the negative wireframe. There needs to be a way to stretch or grab the negative wireframes without interference from the positive wireframes. We don't need to actually see the negative object. Instead we need to be able to easily see, stretch, and move the negative wireframes independently from the positive wireframes. So hovering over objects will reveal only negative or only positive wireframes. This would be the ideal way to do it. If that is not possible, than another idea is to be able to turn any stamped object into a negative object like TheOneironaut states. It could be added to the cloning process. Clone any object, and before you stamp it down, turn it into a negative stamp.....In TheOneironaut cup example the positive surrounds the negative making it impossible to stretch the negative, because the positive wireframe will always be selected no matter where you hover.

Yes this is an issue I have just bumped into too. It’s near impossible to work with negative shapes in a none freehand nature.

Yup issue (still in early access). Tweaking subtractive edits is really difficult!

Selecting the subtracted shapes definitely seems to need addressing. I think the suggestion of making them all visible (subtracted shapes could be transparent green or something) would be great. That or at least make hovering them and seeing the wireframe easier. It’s ridiculous to hover the edge and then hope you can time your click fast enough to grab it before it disappears again. I have to imagine this is something being worked on though. I sure hope so!
