DreamSurfing searches need a simple cut-off option to make it easier to find good, newer content
DreamSurfing and indreams searches need a simple cut-off option to make it easier to find good, newer content.
None of the current search/sort/filter options are sufficient for finding good, newer content. A lot of the sorts are going to push to the top things that are older. Or that used to be popular.
But a simple "Released In" date cut-off option would help a lot. I should be able to specify that a search only return results of things Released In the last...day...week...month...3 months...6 months...12 months

The "newer" sorting shows you newer stuff, right? I assume "last 4 weeks" would show you the same stuff, but just stop showing you stuff beyond a certain date. Could you tell me more about how not showing things beyond a date is more useful than allowing you to keep scrolling?

The LBP games let you filter levels in a particular category by "this week" or "this month", and anything older than what you set would be omitted from the results. I feel like Dreams could stand to benefit from something like that, preferably implemented in a way that allowed you to use it in conjunction with the existing content filters, e.g. searching unplayed recommend creations released within the last week.
Also, a way to hide Mm's creations from search results would be appreciated. As good as their stuff is I rarely use the recommended sorting mode because half of the stuff it shows me consists of Mm's example games and quick-start assets, while the other half dates back to the Beta and Early Access.

TAPgiles If you could cut-off stuff say, in the past 4 weeks, then if you enter DreamSurfing, and are looking to see what's RECENT + GOOD (i.e.--not JUST "recent", and not just "good" over all of time...which is all that current Sorting lets you see), you could do a search that shows you only recent stuff (like past 4 weeks), but sorted by options such as Recommended, Most Played, or Most Thumbs (& other sort options, if they're added)
This would let you see recent stuff, that is getting positive reaction from Dreamers. There are many complaints that it's hard to find new, good stuff. This is a way to allow that.
Reddit lets you see "top" of past 24hrs, week, month, or year. Currently Dreams is as if Reddit said "hey, we're throwing away "top", because you've got "new".

Oooh, got it. So it's "sort by most recent, then get the latest X days of that, then sort the resulting list by something else." That makes sense. Thanks for explaining.
