Improvement to Convert Sculpt to Painting Tool
Improvement to New Convert sculpt to painting tool:
First I am going to explain what went wrong while I was using tool then I'm going to explain what I did to get around it & last I will explain what needs to be done to correct issue.
First I tried to convert my sculpt into a painting but it gave me a message saying cant convert because there would be to many paint flecks.
So to get around this I pulled out the Cutout tool and chopped my sculpt in half and then was able to convert the 2 halves into paintings next to each other and then group them.
To fix this & make it more convenient for player what needs to happen is this, when player selects sculpt they want to convert into painting & the sculpt would require to many paint flecks, instead of message that says can't do it, the player gets message that says since sculpt would require to many paint flecks to properly convert, your sculpt will be automatically cutout into as many halves as necessary then converted into paintings & automatically grouped. Would you like to do this Yes or No. If player says yes then it will do exactly as it said. If it's complexity required it to be cut in 1/2 then that is what it would do. If it's complexity required it to be cut in 1/4 pieces then that is what it would do. & wallah. :) P.S I Love Dreams

Oh interesting solution... Only problem with that is, you're using a lot of flecks for those new surfaces which you don't actually want/need.
Something it currently tries is to lower the sculpt detail (which means the sculpt has less flecks to convert) to see if it can fit the flecks into one painting that way. Usually succeeds, too. I've not seen the "cannot convert" message yet myself, though. Even for very high-detail sculpts--so not sure why it cannot do it sometimes.
But the conversion does take into account the detail level (fewer flecks) and looseness (fewer visual flecks even if the sculpt is high-detail). So that might be something you can try out next time and see if it works okay for you instead of needing to mess about with chopping it up.
