when making music how do i make a note last longer?

i want 1 note to be 2 sections long but the sound of the instrument doesn't last as long as i want it to as if the instrument sound has an end instead of being able to loop perfectly without any cuts, if i use slice playback to loop then it does loop but not smooth it just sounds like 2 notes instead of 1 long one.

  This is a little tricky to set up so it's seamless. The basics is this: put it into slice loop. Then open the instrument with L1 + X, and go to the slice mapper view. Edit a slice with L1 + square. Now you can move which section of the slice actually loops. You can fiddle with it and finesse it until you're happy with how it sounds.
  
  Or I'd recommend looking for instruments with "sustain" in the name, which should go on forever anyway. Might be easier than trying to get the loop to work right.

  Depending on the type of instrument, you could also try adjusting the ADSR graph -in particular the Sustain or Release - or add some delay in the Chorus section tweak menu.
