Can you limit imp movement to half a screen?

I want players' imp to obey certain restrictions inside a level, physical bariers and stuff. Can this be achieved or is imp a floating object on which barriers can not be applied?

  Hi,
  
  The imp itself cannot be restricted, however there is something you can do that may work for you,
  
  Sculpt a simple object and put a control sensor on it, set this object to be invisible,
  Set the control sensor to force possession.
  And set the imp visibility on it to eyes and body, and to follow imp.
  
  Now your imp will look the same but be towing around an invisible block that you could limit using walls etc

  When u do this it stops the imp from moving backward and forwards tho you can only move around the screen xy...?
