[Forums] Ability to distinguish new comments

I'd like to be able to see which threads have got new comments in them.

I notice that new threads - those that I have not yet seen - are made distinguishable by having a barely perceptible slightly purpler shade of blue-ish purple used for their titles.

I would like this to be more obvious, and also something to indicate where there are new comments. Even better if clicking on the number of comments automatically took the reader to the first comment they haven't yet seen.

The closest workaround is the change the forum sorting from "Sort by newest post" to "Sort by recent activity", but this has to be re-selected EVERY time a board is viewed. It would be excellent if this setting was remembered!

  I'm assuming there will be forum upgrades over time, because this is the most basic forum I've ever seen.
