Move an object in its local space without snapping the logic to the object itself

    Actually this is working as intended, because you could wire the gadget to several objects and they would share the Gadget's local orientation.

    Surface Snap is the way to go in this case. An alternative is to group both the object and the Gadget, and then wire the Gadget to the group -not to the object, you'll have to Scope Out while holding the wire.

    Thanks Pablo. I think that makes sense...

    Since I asked the question I've spent a lot of time in trial and (mostly) error discovering the interrelationships between groups and subgroups and the sheer criticality of attaching logic to the right group or subgroup or sub-subgroup or element.

    I feel it deserves a tutorial of some sort.
