Reference Image Importer
I'd love the ability to import reference images that can float freely in the scene. I think I read somewhere that Mm wants to avoid copyright violating / potentially hazardous situations so maybe restricting viewing images to the uploader or collaborators can help with that.
This is one of the pain points for me right now since I do most of my sculpting in VR mode, but there's no way through the PS5 interface to have floating windows in VR and the solutions I've tried so far aren't effective (Media Gallery, Group chats, Loading webpages) This'd be helpful for modelers trying to match a concept/image and designers to have their references readily available inside dreams. Right now I flip my headset on and off to check my references.
I hope that it's possible with Dreams since the audio importer exists... but then again I don't know how complex a problem it is.

I can see why they would keep imported images out of play, but edit-only shouldn't pose any type of problem and would be extremely useful.

Lucid_Stew Definitely. Adobe medium also lets you color pick from imported reference which would be icing on the cake if we did get the feature at all. love your videos btw.

This would be super helpful, I wanna trace a puppet I’ve got for a project as a 2d picture, this feature would make that a breeze!

I would give this 20 Upvotes if I could I use Reference Pictures all the time and I have to go through so many hoops to get the accurate color too, get the Hex Value of the color and then enter the Hex color in a custom logic circuit and then color pick from that.
Ref Images in Edit Mode only from which you can also Colorpic would be a Gamechanger! ^

10/10 would love to see this feature. It would save a lot of busy work and let creators spend more time, being creative!

Alex mentioned on a stream that this was once considered as a feature for sculpt mode in developement.
