    There is free software out there that takes images or video footage and stitches it together into a 360 video. So you capture stuff on the Playstation using the SHARE button. Copy it to a USB drive. Plug it into your PC and import it into the software.

    I don't think there's any difference in resolution, as it's the same exact software running on both.

    Dumb question: Since i can only record "flat images" multiple videos with different camera rotations are required to get a 360 degree view?

    Yep, that is exactly how that video was made. I'm friends with the guy that made it, Martin Nebelong, and he said that's how he did it.

    on the other side this solves resolution problems.

    one last question: there are some procedural generated elements (eg. default background clouds). if i stop the time they seem to change for different views. Getting rid of this stuff or is there a setting to prevent this?

    You should probably not randomise things. Otherwise yeah, they'll be different each time you run it. That's sort of the point of randomising them ;p

    So, best way is probably to just animate it yourself or whatever, so that it's the same every time and you can record from different angles.
