I don't think there's a way if it's actually deleted. Though it's not easy to delete something; you'd definitely notice the UI change. So are you *super* sure it's not there any more?

Not sure what you mean. You can stretch a cube to make it longer. But you cannot animate edits to sculpts--just the sculpts themselves.
