Music effect without Freeform

Is there a way for me to actively modulate Spice effects on a clip without using Freeform? I don't have good coordination nor do I have steady hands, so it'd be nice if there are other methods.

  There are multiple ways. You could put an effect field on a timeline, in which case it affects everything in its range. You could set Spice on any sliders you want in the tweak menus and then animate or plug wires into the Variation slider. You could have one large effect field in Freeform that spans the entire performance area (affecting everything) and plug wires into its power. Remember you can use keyframes and animations to animate anything at all including tweak sliders.
