Can I attach physical strokes on multiple points?

I know you can attach a stroke to an object to make a scarf or hair.

But I wondered if you could make something like a wash line or festive ribbon?

Also is it possible to make a cloth instead of a line?
And can you attach it to more than 2 points?

  There's an option in the tweak menu to make it attach at both ends. More than 2 points would require multiple strokes.

  This is done with a hanging cloth shade in the Master Class on scene creation. She does an excellent job walking through painting on a 2D curve that you make with a big sculpt, fix it at both ends, and then hang in various places. Might be just what you're looking for.
