How do I make a turret for a walker mech where the turret is controlled by right stick?
I'm trying to make a walker mech with a turret that's controlled with the right stick. I've got the lower half sorted but the turret it driving me nuts. All I want to do is link right stick to a splitter for x/y then link the x/y to +/- that goes in to rotators. I've looked at some other peoples tanks and this seems like an easy enough way to do it. However I can't even get that far as when I try to connect a bolt from the body of the walker to the turret everything goes haywire and as soon as I hit play the walker goes off running like a headless chicken. This makes zero sense to me. I can't see how an unpowered bolt could possibly cause this. Any ideas?

Further to the above, could this somehow be because one end of the bolt is connected to a part that's grouped to what would be the back section of the doll? I know that sounds bonkers but the dolls are so fragile I'll stopped being surprised by how weird they behave at the slightest change.

I'd suspect a collision may be causing problems. Try adding the turret into the mech/puppet group so they all move together and make the turret non collidable. Then join them with a connect from within the group and add your logic to make the turret rotate using the right stick
