How to animate scale of a puppet smoothly?
I was trying to make a snowball that you control and roll around and got larger as you rolled over more snow but animating scale of an object with keyframes saves its xyz location and will go back to its origin when scaling up, for action recorders it works similar but when scaling it stutters and does not allow for smooth scaling of moving objects. Does anyone know a way to do that?

If you animate the snowball scaling up and then group the snowball with a dummy object or microchip and make the group movable then the scaling animation will occur wherever the group is.
Hope this helps :) Peter -
Hey Peter,
I just tried this and it still will teleport to its original spot when it plays the scaling animation.
This is the steps I took;
1. I have a ball that is controllable via a mover and a controller sensor, it will roll as I move the analog stick.
2. I created a timeline and an action recorder and placed the action recorder in the timeline.
3. I selected the action recorder and scaled up the ball and ended the animation
4. I linked the animation to be toggled on when you hold a button the the controller for testing.
5. I created a separate microchip and grouped it with the ball I created and edited the group to be moveable.
6. I went to play mode and hopped in the ball and rolled around just fine, but when I hit the "play animation to grow" button my ball still teleports back to the recorded location.
What did I do wrong? >.< -
Happens to me as well.

Same issue did you ever find a solution?
