Spraypaint tool in sculpt mode

I noticed a spraypaint tool in sculpt mode and tired to use it. An outline comes up and i picked a colour but doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong

  Are you intersecting the outline with you sculpt? They have to be touching in order for it to figure out what to paint when you press R2 :)

  The spraypaint tool doesn't work with coated sculpts, that could be what you are experiencing?
  
  For now I'm going to move this post into 'How Do I' to see if one of our developers there can help you. We can move it back to Dreams Bugs if it turns out there's a problem :)
