How do you make a Light Gadget point at your puppet?

I want a light gadget to follow and point at my puppet so I attached a follower and a look at rotator to a light gadget both looking for a tag. The follower works just fine but the rotator turns to the wrong direction and there is no gizmo to tweak the direction... that's so weird!

  Make a sculpt and attach the follower, rotator, and light to it instead. Gadgets aren't really intended to work like that in general.
