Exclusive Gate Lag?

I'm using an exclusive gate to activate abilities, but it seems there's a frame delay between the Input and Active output.

Is there a way to stop this from happening, or an alternative?

  No, the ex-gate has a frame delay.
  
  This is to avoid things like infinite loops from signals going out from an ex-gate and going back into itself.
