Prevent character from falling off scene

I'd like to prevent a character from hitting the edge of the map and falling off. I could block everything off but that will take time and depending on the scenario may not make sense. Is it possible to make an invisible wall barrier?

  you can set an object to have no visibility through the properties. so yeah. you can definitely make invisible walls.
