How do I make holograms?
My idea was to lower the opacity of shapes, make them glow etc. but there isn't an option to lower the opacity of shapes so the only way I can imagine it is painting on a sphere for example make it invisble after and use the painting but I imagine it to be kinda messy is there another way?

Changing the opacity of solid objects is indeed impossible in Dreams because of technical reasons.
Which is strange, because they make objects partly invisible when they are hidden in a scene (turn off preview invisibility to see it)
For now strokes are your best bet, or text displayers if you only need a flat surface.
I hope they make it a feature.
Mm please do. -
Here´s a fun way to create a "shape" using Strokes:
1) Group your Sculpt with another arbitrary Sculpt.
2) Stamp a Rotator and wire it so it affects the whole group. Make sure its axis of rotation is vertical.
3) Play the Scene and check that your Sculpt is rotating.
4) Scope into the Group, and go to Paint Mode.
5) Turn ON Surface Snap.
6) Start painting on top of your sculpt to cover it completely. The spin will make this process easier and fun.
Hope this helps!

Wow like pottery.
That's awesome. XD -
There is a scene published that does that already - if you remix it you can carve into it like a lathe/potters wheel

'@ pablo that’s exactly what I did for the scenery in Gumbo, but used the stamp tool whilst the sphere was rotating, I was amazed when this process worked!
