Walking puppet with keyframe issue
Hey all :)
Can someone help me with getting a puppet to walk with keyframes?
I’ve just dragged the puppet as a whole (not scoped in) to a different location and keyframed it, then have blended the keyframes to make it move between the spots but the procedural walk seems to be playing up a bit (see video). I’m just using the default puppet settings.
I’ve used a possession recorder for the same character model and it has done the walk properly. Now however, when I try and replicate the proper walk with the possession recorder i get the same jumpy walk that’s shown in the video.. I can’t seem to get it to walk smoothly any more.
Anyone else seen this and know a solution?
Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Jules.

I remember seeing an option in the puppet tweak menu to toggle procedural walk, and the tool tip said to turn it off for custom walk animation.

Thanks Magnus but I want to use the procedural walk, it just doesn’t seem to play the walk correctly. When I record with the possession recorder it walks fine but when I play back the recording they walk like this with a really short stride no matter how much I increase the stride amount :(

I get this too - with setting 'follow' to a tag. I assumed it would just walk normlaly but it drags feet exactly like this.
