HDI : make a puppet stay and move on a moving thing (i.e like a boat/car)
Hi everyone
I try to make a player able to board a boat.
I went with this solution (thx somes molecules !) : invisible puppet already on the boat (powered off) and when the player go to a trigger zone near the boat, it powers off the possess puppet, possess the boat (with all the controller sensor on) and power on the puppet on the boat (tried too with only the visibility toggle with every other parameters off)
here's my problem : I make the puppet on the boat group with the boat (think a little wood boat for one people) and when I unscope all and move the boat, I move the boat and the Puppet onboard. But When I possess the Boat (it moves like I want) the puppet stay in its position and doesn't move along the boat.
Boat and puppet are grouped !
I try to disable almost every parameters in the puppet brain/tweak menu
I dont know how to do anymore

I kept trying and here's what I found :
It's not enough to group a puppet with the boat/car for instance : you need to group it in a structure level (so take the puppet and then scope in the car/boat for instance and group it with the scoped part (the deeper the better I think) -
Try attaching a tag to the boat and teleporter to the puppet. Although probably a better approach is to hide/remove the original puppet and replace it with a copy that looks the same (except possibly sitting down) and with all the puppetry removed.
