How do I glue two sculpts together?

I made a puppet, and to give it hair I made a separate sculpt to glue them together. I place the hair on the head, then I have no clue what to do. I’ve tried grouping the hair to the puppet, using a connector, nothing works...

  Simply grab the hair sculpt, then scope into the puppet, and scope in again to the head. This will automatically create a group which will work.
  
  You only need a connector if you want the hair to articulate somehow.

  I did not understand any of this guys, sorry. How can i even scope into the puppet when i grabbed the item in the first place? To scope in, i have to ungrab. Did i miss something??
