Color picker tool for everything

I worked on something where I wanted to use the PlayStation button like circle or triangle and color them via textbox. The problem is, they have a specific color which I can't find with just my eyes, I'm not talented enough. I added an object from another user who made the buttons, wire the output of the color of this and the input of the color of the textbox. Now I have the exact same color and I need some more steps so I could delete the object and the color stays. That's too much work I think. Idea: Tools - Color Picker - save the color via touchpad and X - open the textbox and click "Use saved colors". I mean real color codes would be way cooler but if it's not possible or too much work then at least a simple color picker tool for everything. Text, textbox, not just objects.

  Or even just use the coat mode tint, and be able to use R2 to "tint" any colour setting in any tweak menu. That would be pretty cool...
