You can move the location separately from the gadget itself. Select the (teleporter?) gadget with X. A little white blob appears. Move it to the desired position.

Is the menu a different scene? Is it connected to anything? Double-check where the level's exit leads to.

Make it "flat"? What do you mean? Describe the object's current state, and what you want it to be when it's "flat."

If you want it to do anything, it will need power--just like everything else in the game.If you want it to move back and forth, set the cycles per minute (or whatever it's called) to adjust the speed.

Does the one left behind drop down? Make sure it's not set to "movable."

Maybe use wireless receivers and transmitters instead? They work similarly to trigger zones, but they transmit and receive on named channels. So then you can tell which is which.
