Yes it's a bit of a mystery to me how the cones in the puppet work, they don't seem to contain any other shape. Maybe it's some secret internal MM shape :)

I think somehow scoping variables is a must, unless I'm missing a way to do that. Having all variables global will lead to many confusing bugs once people start using each other's logic contraption...

I think you can also paint different color and stuff on different parts of the same sculpt, which may be cheaper. Don't remember how to do it right now though.

You can also use another shape (a cube maybe) in sculpt mode to cut away the part you don't want (or the part you want with the "cookie cutter" like tool, forget the name).
