Sculpt Shape Rounding
*Not to be confused with soft-blend.
We currently have one rounded shape, the "rounded cube." Unfortunately the rounding itself scales with the shape--making it uneven. Which sometimes doesn't matter so that's fine. But sometimes it does matter, and then it really kinda sucks.
Also, there are plenty of other shapes that we may want rounded to go for a simple/toy-like look, which also seems to coincide with the generally more cute aesthetic of may popular Dreams games so far. We can "round" a shape by placing the shape down, and then using a soft-blend negative to soft-blend away the corners of one of the sides. For example, the cylindrical top of a top-hat.
This can work well. However, that negative stamp would also affect anything else that was placed in the sculpt before that point, so it can really mess up your work and not always be possible to do. You *could* do the "rounded" shape as a separate sculpt. But then you would not be able to soft blend it into the rest of the shape you're trying to create--so also not ideal.
And if you want *all* sides of a polyhedral shape to be rounded, it's going to cause even more problems when those soft-blends intersect and overlap, intensifying the effect on the existing shapes. And trying to get the angle for all sides--say, for a hexagonal prism.
We could really do with another slider, like the blend amount slider, which would be the "roundness" of the shape. This would essentially set a radius to all edges of the shape--one which would not be stretched as the shape's proportions are changed. With this we could have a rounded cylinder very easily, and still have it blend into the brim of the top-hat.
This would open a lot of doors for newcomers to make rounded shapes, which are most common in early "simple"/cartoony sculpts people make in the early days. And allow advanced users more flexibility in creating their sculptures without worrying if they want to use a rounded shape at some point and it messing everything up.

This is an excellent suggestion and would really improve the versatility of the current shapes. if implemented, hopefully it would stop the sharp, pinched look you get when soft blending near hard edges.

Agree this would be great. They must have a value in there somewhere determining the "roundness" so why not make it variable.
I would assume the reason it hasn't already been done is probably because the "shape" editing UI needs an overhaul.
