I found an easy fix to the problem of imp drifting.
When your imp starts to drift, set your controller down on a still surface and hold the options button. That's the easiest fix that I've found, and it seems to work consistently when I have this problem.

I've seen Mm mention this somewhere before during the beta. I'll vote though so more people can see.
It is annoying when that happens, they should mention how to fix it in the game somewhere. -
Wanted to mention that placing the DS4 on a stable surface while the game starts up is a big help!
Almost eliminates the problem, although I had it come back suddenly while doing music editing at one point.
