Does it affect thermo if I use copies of gadgets on the same microchip?
This probably sounds like a weird question, so let me explain. Let's say I have a trigger zone placed inside my microchip, if I want to get the output of it should I always just use the wires from the same trigger zone or can I make copies of it so that my microchip can be tidier? What's the best way to use minimum thermo?

You could wire your trigger zone detected to a wireless transmitter and place wireless receivers in place of the trigger zone, but instead of just having lots of wires you will have lots of wireless receiver gadgets everywhere. Unless you are coming across problems with thermo while building logic I wouldnt worry about it too much.

I believe copying the gadgets encreases the thermo, because the game has to update status of the gadgets individualy.
So it works little different than copying the scupts. If you copy just a sculpt it doen not increase thermo much because the game can still keep one object in the memory and just refence it.But for active gadgets, it has to keep status of each one individually. -
Interesting, thanks!

Making copies of ANYTHING increases the Gameplay thermo - that does include sculpts ;)
Gadgets take a small amount of gameplay thermo, but no graphics thermo.
Just FYI, when you clone a Sculpt it will not increase the graphics thermo but it will increase the gameplay thermo. With a Painting, cloning will increase both the graphics and gameplay thermos, but if you use the Duplicates tweak (unique to paintings) then neither thermo is affected. I know that’s off topic from your question but I wanted to clarify about the thermo :) -
I wanted to make a correction to my last comment:
What I said about paintings and the gameplay thermo is something I’d previously done a series of creation tests on and made notes. I’ve just gone back to those tests and now I see the graphics thermo has actually dropped on creations that had many cloned paintings, so I’ll do another series of test creations but I think that Mm has done something to improve the way paintings clone - I think they now act just like Sculpts :) -
Oh that's interesting, thanks for letting me know!

This is very off topic from the original question, but since I previously posted some incorrect information about Paintings and the Graphics thermo, I wanted to share a follow up:
After reviewing my beta creations and doing some more tests, I’m quite sure that the thermo has been improved! I’ve posted a short video on YouTube @LBPookachoo explaining the changes I’ve seen - summary, cloning Paint doesn’t affect the graphics thermo at all :)
