How to deal damage with a ranged weapon?
I have a laser scope that hits the target, but for the love of god I cant make it deal damage. How does the damage modifier works when using a different microchip?

Hi, laserscopes can't do damage themselves, but what you can do is have an invisible object with a teleporter on it.
Which if you grab the hit position output of the laserscope and put that into the teleporter position input, it will make that insisible object go to the end of the laserscope.
Then all you need to do is stick a health modifier with a zone onto the invisible object
Hope this helps

:O Thanks John! Also thanks for the fast reply, I would have dropped the idea if it wasnt for this reply. Will test now.

Okay, so the issue is the signal that the laser scope sends. Boy this took me ages to figure out. So the only way to send a signal after hitting something with the laser scope is to go where you linked and hit L1+X on the connection to convert it to a blend connection. Not sure why, but thats the only way to make it work >.<

Wait, what's a "blend connection" and how does it differ from a normal one? I thought there was only one kind of wire!

If you hover on it, it explains

I have an emitter that spawns an invisible shape at the hit location, with a minor amount of speed. The shape deals damage on impact.

I am struggling with getting a similar thing working. Mostly that I can't get the teleporter to send the invisible object anywhere. I know the laser sight is detecting an object, and I can trigger the teleporter to leap to a tag instead, but it's not moving to the output location... holding L1, the output does show three coordinates and an alpha, but the input Teleport Position Bool only shows 1.00 and an alpha. What am I missing? I'm currently only using two gadgets, the laser scope and the teleporter—am I missing a gadget to convert or power the data?
