Masking

Is there any kind is masking to be done in sculpt? Like locking part of the sculpture off so it can't move?

I’m not certain this is what you are after but there is a freeze tool which can lock objects so that they cannot be moved by accident.

What is the effect you are trying to achieve. This might help me work out if I can help al little more.

Not sure that’s available in sculpt mode...which I think is what siahrox means..
But yes, great in assembly mode!
