How do I make a sound effect loop while a ball is rolling?
I've got an impact sensor sending a signal while the ball is rolling, I've got that much figured out, and I've found suitable sound effects for my purpose. I also know about the setting to loop a sound effect.
What I can't figure out is two things:
1. How to make the looping sound good. The sound effect fades out and starts over, and it doesn't sound good. Any way to set only a part of the sound effect to loop? Or is there some other way to do this?
2. I need to know how to have more control over the sound depending on the speed the ball is rolling and the type of surface it's rolling over. Yeah, this one's kind of vague.

Hi
From an impact sensor there is a rolling output.
Wire that into your sound.
Also on the sound set it to looping,
You can trim the sample on the first page by dragging the cutoff handles on the waveform.
And then on the adsl extend the fall in and fall off slopes to be less steep.
Hope this helps

RE 2)
A sound played by a bump / roll / scrape (via collision detector), or a character movement sound (walk, jump, land) can be set to be surface specific.
First set Row Mapping ON in the last page of the sounds tweaks.
Then open the sample mapper, you should see a list of available surfaces.
These rows can be used to setup alternative sounds for different materials.
To flag a sculpt as one of these materials, tweak it and in the last page (audio surface type) choose from one of the materials :)
