Why does the rotator move my object instead of just rotating?

I have a regular rotator to rotate a rectangle to the Y Axis. It works fine, but slowly the object starts moving towards the Y axis in the direction of the rotation until it eventually moves off screen/camera.


How do I keep it in place?

The object does not move away and stays in place when the rotator is off.

  The alignment of your rotator sounds slightly askew causing the object to drift.
  
  Try removing the rotator, and then switch on grid snap in the guides menu. Use the grid to align the desired rotation and hopefully that should keep your object in one place :)
