The Trello mentions an upcoming  "Convert to Paint" feature that will allow multiple sculpts to be converted into a single paint. I suggested allowing the resulting object to be a sculpt here:

    https://forums.indreams.me/hc/en-gb/community/posts/4405992567965-For-the-upcoming-Bake-to-Paint-tool-an-option-for-the-resulting-object-to-be-a-sculpt

But as I said in that post, converting multiple sculpts to a single sculpt doesn't have a general solution. The only case guaranteed to produce correct results is the one where no more than one sculpt has any edits that are not non-mirror-clipped adds. For any other cases, you could get errors like an invisible end of a subtract in one of the sculpts cutting a chunk out of an add in another sculpt.

    Great answers

This has been suggested many times. Of course, it would be useful for working in different ways and saving on thermo. However there are many reasons why such a feature would be insanely complex to have working properly, if it's even possible.

Somewhere on this forum I posted an idea of "sculpt groups" which has the same workflow flexibilities (and more) and would be more feasible to implement. It sort of merges sculpts at the last possible moment instead of really merging them. But truly merging the shape of multiple sculpts into one sculpt is so incredibly hard you wouldn't believe it ;P
