logic tutorials
Hello Dreamers,
I am new to Mm games and to most of the game making tools encompassed in Dreams. The sculpting/drawing/music part I get but my logic brain has definitely not switched on yet.
I have done the tutorials on the website, understand what the tools do but lack foundation to puzzle them together.
Is there anything resembling this block building logic you advise me to look into to put me on the right track in terms of the thinking involved for game mechanics (any other software, old Mm games, books anything really). I want to get a deeper understanding of this voodoo. I googled already but I dont know what I am searching so it's not really fruitful so far.

Little big planet logic videos will give you a head start as pretty much every logic tool is represented in this beta as well as expanded on.

When you hover your imp over any of the logic gadgets, you'll get a tooltip that also has a mini-tutorial - experiment with these ideas, and you'll learn a lot.
You can't break anything, so just wire random stuff that sounds fun together and see what effects you can achieve. I feel it would be possible for someone to completely self-teach Dreams logic, if they were willing to try and fail a lot.
As you learn for yourself, which things are fun to wire together, you can supplement your knowledge with math tricks and other tips from the internet. -
It might be best to give an idea what you'd like to do then folks can point you in the right direction. The logic really isn't as difficult as you might think.
