2.44 Preview Part 1 Feedback

I know this is a bit premature, but Tom said to send in feedback so I'm going for it! XD If the update comes and any of these are still relevant, I'll re-post them as ideas.

Convert to Paint flecks should be marked as “surface-snapped” so that we have control over the physicalness by merging with an older paint stroke and everything else would follow it. This might already be the case.

Adjust Detail on paintings. Increase fleck density so that it shows more flecks between points on a stroke. Still cheaper, but looks the same. Probably would need to allow fleck density to go above 100%, which is something I've wanted for certain effects. Bake any object, even if it's not been emitted. Make the current state the initial state. Then we can have logic that just sits there and does its thing, instead of needing to emit it to use this feature.

Naming of the camera blocking modes are confusing. On "always" it doesn’t always block if it’s not visible; that's not "always." And even when it is visible, it only blocks if the possessed object is obscured by the sculpt. Names like “when moving back,” “when obscured,” and “non-blocking” would be a lot more clear as to the behaviour of these settings.

Suggestion (which is what I thought this tweak would do based on the trello description)... make an actual “always” / “when visible” setting. Having invisible sculpts that block the camera would let us stop the camera floating through gaps in the scene (eg. invisible/paint windows) and would give us a lot of flexibility and control over how the built-in camera behaves. (I think I posted this as a suggestion a while back, but cannot find it. So I posted a new idea here.)

Legato “Off” setting is misleading. The notes recorded with legato still work when this legato setting is “off.” This “legato mode” is a completely separate thing. Perhaps the legato menu setting could be called "performance legato" and this setting could be called “auto legato” to avoid confusion in understanding how things work, and clearly indicate what they do.
