Is there a way to cutout holes in sculpts that are the same proportions of the initial shape
Hi all, I made a complex geometric shape, and wanted to have just a border of this shape. This would be simple if you could cut out sculpts with your own sculpts, as i would just copy the shape, reduce its size and then cut out the centre of the original object (this is how I would do it in LBP), however I know you can't do this in Dreams. What would be the best way to do it? Currently I'm using a cube to cut into the shape at the correct angle, and then using the push pull tool to size it correctly. This is incredibly tedious and takes ages, surely there's an easier way? Cheers :)

Hi! There's a button called "hole" or something that makes a hole in the object and you can size it up and down like the looseness and blend features. I think it is on the right....up at the top? I'm not on PS4 right now but it's in there somewhere. Best of luck with your sculpt!

In sculpt mode, select your primitive, set it to the stamp tool, now hit shift+square to edit the shape. Hole mode is the second to the most right option. Turn that sucker up to get your desired thickness. The furthest right option could also be useful for making complex hollow shapes.

This only allows you to make holes with primitives though it seems, what I want is to have the initial sculpt to be used to create the hole. For example if i make a star shape, i can only create a hole that is the shape of one of the primitives, rather than the sculpt I've created.

You cannot get a hole like you want in your last comment.
Not without making it out of multiple cuts etc. but as you get better at sculpting you'll find clever ways to do this, I use the grid and precise move tools a lot to help me do this kind of thing
