Hold down L2 while smearing and use the left or right sticks.Or another cool trick is to gently stroke the touch pad with the selected shape on your imp in sculpt mode to make it spin by itself!- yann

You can always undo with Left Dpad until you get your selection back. Also group the selection right after you clone an item if you know you're going to move it as one element :)- yann

You can turn off the color fading in the options menu - there is an option for UI Feedback that removes all the blurring and desaturation.Bogdan

You would have to use paint strokes and tweak them to make them physical and attach them to a sculpt.- yann

When you set a clip to loop, you can then drag the handle at the end of the clip to extend it, which should look it.You can also just clone clips with l1+r2 just like in assembly mode.- yann
